The Native Fish Conservancy has a new newsletter called The Darter and I
thought that some of you might find it interesting. This months issue is
going to be about endangered fish of Mexico with a highlight on
Endangered Mexican trout. I got a preview of this months issue and it's
really fascinating. We're also waiting on an article from Joe Tommelleri
from americanfishes.com. He's currently in Mexico doing some stream
surveys and should be contributing a very interesting article on the
status of Mexican trout, along with some pictures. Even if you're not
interested in native fish conservation, you should find this months
issue very interesting.
The Darter is a free, full color, bi-monthly newsletter dedicated to the
conservation of our native fish and the habitats they call home.
The NFC is a grassroots organization made up in large part, by anglers
like yourselves. It's an organization that is dedicated to protecting
the natural resources that many of us have been enjoying for most of our
lives. I hope that all of you will take a few minutes to stop in and
check it out.

The NFC also has one of the best native fish galleries on the web as
well as a top notch articles section! If you've ever considered bringing
some of you catch home and enjoying them in an aquarium setting you
might want to check out the forum as well. There are quit a few native
fishkeepers there who are more than happy to answer any questions.
