a monster-Season here in VT does not open till the second saturday in
April-And theres still all kinds of snow and ice around-Its been a good
many years since ive seen this much on the ground yet-My way to get the
big ones-Is not having to get way out there in the river-You would be
surprised at how many 5 pound pluss trout ive caught only a few feet
from the bank im sitting on-But if you sit your pole down on a V notch
in a tree limb or leaning it against somthing-allways click your button
on your casting reel-or open the bail-and sit a stone or somthing that
will just hold your line in place-so the current doesnt take it down
stream off your reel-And if the water his high and fast-Fish just to
the side of it-or the colsest calmer water next to it-Ive caught trout
from 5-10 pounders doing this-And what i use throught the year of
fishing in a river for brown trout-Is nite crawlers-Threaded emerald
minnows-shiners-Rapala-Count down rapalas-Thats about it-I will post
pics of any i catch this year-Really looking foward to going-Im
dissabled now-And only got to go once last year-So ive got my fingers
crossed for going this year-i feal like a young kid going to his first
fishing derby
