Missouri
•NORFORK: 45 degrees, muddy in the back of creeks, rest of the lake is fairly clear, rising rapidly. Outlook: Bink's Guide Service reports: stripers, walleyes good on stickbaits in the river; bass good on jigs along the deep bluff ends.
 
•TRUMAN: 38 degrees, murky, 6 feet high. Outlook: Rocky Top Bait and Tackle reports: crappies good on yellow and chartreuse jigs 25 to 30 feet down in 40 feet of water in the brush and timber. Below the dam: walleyes good on chartreuse grubs with pink heads; hybrids fair on slab spoons.
 
•BULL SHOALS: 46 degrees, clear, 11/2 feet high. Outlook: Highway 125 Marina reports: white bass, crappies good on jigs, minnows in the back of coves.
 
•JAMES A. REED: 36 degrees, clear, normal. Outlook: Department of Conservation reports: brown trout good on jigs, sliver and gold spoons; rainbow trout good on Power Bait.
 
•TANEYCOMO: 45 degrees, clear, power generation until 10 or 11 a.m. Outlook: Lilley's Landing reports: trout good on egg flies, jigs, San Juan worms drifting in the Trophy Area and on Power Eggs below Fall Creek. When there is no current, jigs under floats and scud fliers are working best.
 
•THOMAS HILL: mid 50s at hot-water outlet, murky, 1 foot high. Outlook: Mac's Cove Marina: crappies fair to good on jigs at the hot-water discharge; bass, hybrids good on Rat-L-Traps near warm-water outlet.
 
•LAKE OF THE OZARKS: 37 to 40 degrees, clear, 3 feet low. Outlook: Gier's Bass Pro reports: crappies fair to good on on jigs under bobbers along bluffs and in the coves; blue catfish fair to good on juglines with cut shad in 25 to 35 feet of water.
 
•SMITHVILLE: 38 degrees, clear, 1 foot low. Outlook: Burton's Bait and Tackle reports: crappies fair on jigs off the marina docks.
 
•BLUE SPRINGS: 35 degrees, clear, near normal. Outlook: Blue Springs Lake Marina reports: crappies fair (but mostly small) on jigs off the marina docks.
 
•LONGVIEW: 40 degrees, 6-inch clarity, 1 foot high. Outlook: Longview Lake Marina reports: crappies fair (but small) on jigs, minnows.
 
•TABLE ROCK: 46 degrees, clear, 2 feet high. Outlook: Indian Point Marina reports: all species poor.
 
•JACOMO: 36 degrees, clear, normal. Outlook: Lake Jacomo Marina reports: all species poor.
 
•POMME DE TERRE: 40 degrees, murky, 7 feet high. Outlook: Nemo Landing reports: all species poor.

•COFFEY COUNTY: 72 degrees at the hot-water outlet, 47 degrees on the main lake, clear, slightly low. Outlook: Coffey County reports: white bass good on jigging spoons.
 
•LA CYGNE: 42 to 58 degrees, clear, normal. Outlook: Wildlife and Parks reports: crappies fair to good on yellow jigs in the brush; largemouth bass fair to good on plastic baits, crankbaits, jig and pig along the north shore and west of the hot-water outlet; white bass fair on twisters, Silver Spoons, jigs.
 
•CLINTON: 38 degrees, clear, normal. Outlook: Clinton Lake Marina reports: trout good on Power Bait, jigs; crappies fair on jigs in the brush.
 
•HILLSDALE: 37 degrees, clear, normal. Outlook: Rand's reports: crappies good on minnows, jigs in the timber.
 
•WILSON: 38 degrees, clear; 3 feet low. Outlook: Wildlife and Parks reports: stripers fair on slab spoons, Kastmasters, jigs along the bluffs; walleyes fair on slab spoons in the deep brush.
 
•SHAWNEE MISSION: 37 degrees, clear, low. Outlook: Johnson County Park and Rec reports: trout fair on minnows, jigs, worms in the coves and off points.
 
•HERITAGE: 38 degrees, murky, normal. Outlook: Johnson County Parks and Rec reports: trout fair on minnows, worms along the dam.
 
•MILFORD: 36 degrees, clear, slightly high. Outlook: Clem's Corner reports: catfish fair to good on shad sides, night crawlers at School Creek and Pelican Point; walleyes poor to fair (a few are being caught in deep water along the dam).

If you don't mind fishing in a crowd, this would be a good weekend to fish Wyandotte County Lake. The season opens Saturday at the Kansas City, Kan., lake, and that means there will be plenty of recently stocked trout and channel catfish available.
