[fishingtheusaandcanada] Finally we got some good weather

Aloha All,

We have been having some really bad weather for the last 2 months
getting 46 plus inches of rain (with snow on our mountain here in
Hawaii), high surf (30 plus feet high), and the day I did get out to
the buoy there was a pod of dolphins eat all the tuna I hooked
grrrrrrrrrrr.

That was the bad news. We finally got a nice day nice weekend and I
find out my son has a baseball practice. lol

But we were able to go out to the buoy yesterday (Sunday) and there
were fish boiling on bait the whole time we were out there and were
able to catch 4 ahi (yellowfin tuna) from 5 to 20 pounds and 3 small
aku (skip jack tuna). While reeling up one of our ahi my son says there
was a marlin following it to the boat. He was yelling "don't steal my
fish" lol. We trolled towards home and just before we got into the
break water one of the reels starts to scream as I looked back the fish
started to go nuts and after about 3 minutes the fish was gone. :(
But what a day.

Good to be bad out fishing again and I pray this will be a great year
for fishing.

Aloha Ke Akua, Rocky
