Sounds like he trolls on his boat. If that is the
case, don't worry about getting any fishing gear
because he probably already has enough. You could
probably get some foul weather gear. Your friend has
some very distinct ideas about how he fishes (at least
most of us do) and will probably teach you what he
wants you to do. Just be grateful that you have been
invited to participate in fishing. I hope you enjoy
the experience.
