Nope! Did not catch that marlin. You have to go back
and read the story of how I ended up gutting and
cutting this fish. The reel is a Penn Senator 14/0, a
whole lot bigger than a 9/0. It took them about a
half hour to land it. The fish was a male black
marlin and weighed 149 lbs. Barbara Doeries told me
that there were two other black marlins in company
with this one. It was a blind strike just off the
reef in 200 feet of water. This is her second marlin
in less than a year.
