Re: [fishingtheusaandcanada] Disqualified Marlin

The marlin was about 20 feet under the boat when the
sharks attacked. The crew of three plus the captain
was able to haul it into the small 19 foot boat. Yes,
and it was still alive when they hauled it on board,
but just barely. Normally, something that big, they
would release it. But if they did that to the wounded
fish, the sharks would feast on it. So they brought
it in. I helped to cut it up...Most of it was given
away to Marshallese who eat it raw, or boil it in sea
water. I think 50 or 60 lbs of it is gonna be smoked,
eventually for a party at Gilligan's or the
Parrothead. I didn't have any of it, because I don't
like the taste of marlin, unless if its under 200 lbs.
Then it tastes somewhat like Ono (Wahoo).
