Re: [fishingtheusaandcanada] Disqualified Marlin

My dad and I went fishing with a friend in the Florida Keys.My dad pulled up a BIG hogfish and half was missing!! Somebody got the best part! We did get some meat off of it though, and a great picture. I don't know how to scan with my copier, so I can't show it but sometime I will make my own album.

Aloha,

Our club, the Kwajalein International Sportfishing
Club, had its annual President's Day fishing
tournament this past Monday. The jackpot was for the
largest Mahimahi and Ono, and there was also a side
bet for Marlin worth $1700. This particular Marlin
that weighed over 500 lbs, was disqualified because of
the four shark bites. A smaller Marlin, about 300 lbs
took the prize. How 'bout them shark bites? Another
reason not to jump in the water in the South Pacific!

I didn't fish the tournament. Instead I helped with
the start and the weigh in.
