Hi! My name is Robin and I live on an island on the coast of Maine. My favorite fish here are mackeral ,pollack and cod. We used to have loads of dogfish but they are now living far offshore in the gulf of Maine. The commercial fishing must have made them move away. Stores that sell good tackle have dwindled away to nothing here.
Years ago I found some fishing lures I fell in love with! They were from Norway, and were called Stingsilda, they came in a yellow package. They were shaped exactly like a herring or minnow, and were painted in different colors.Does anyone know what I am talking about?I don't want crippled herring or plastic lures. I would appreciate any advise on where to find them.
Another lure I love for cod are plastic eels. a great store nearby was bulldozed to make way for a new Lows.(What else is new!) They had the best stuff north of Kittery.
I know I will enjoy this group!
